Cyrus Mackinnon Managing Director, Black River Asset Management

Mr. MacKinnon is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for Black River Asset Management's Clean Energy Investment Fund. The Fund is focused primarily on private equity investments in the alternative energy climate change space around the globe, and has a number of carbon credit related investments in its portfolio, including Verdeo Group. Mr. MacKinnon joined Black River Asset Management from Credit Suisse, where he was a Director within the Investment Banking Division's Energy Group. During his 11-year career in investment banking (at Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers), Mr. MacKinnon was based in New York, Sao Paulo, Los Angeles, and London, and developed an expertise in structured finance, project finance, equity capital raising, and M&A, having executed over $19 billion of such transactions, principally in the Energy and other commodity sub-sectors. Mr. MacKinnon received a BA in Economics from Princeton University with High Honors.
